Pittsburgh author and ad man Alan Van Dine has pulled together 30 years of light verse and lighthearted illustrations in in his blog “Light Verse for a Heavy Universe.” Using many of the poems and drawings from his latest book, “If Instead of Apes We Had Come From Grapes We Wouldn’t Just Yet Be Wine,” with his newest and unpublished works, Van Dine shares the acerbic wit that makes him “the Ogden Nash for the intelligent reader.”
