The Football Fan’s Diet is a blog about one Pittsburgh man’s last ditch attempt to getting fit, this time by using the model of a full NFL Season.
In a nut shell, The Football Fan’s Diet awards points in the form of touchdowns and field goals on a daily basis for attaining predetermined health goals. If you fail to attain a particular goal, points are awarded to your alter ego, your unhealthy you if you will.
At the end of the week, if you have more points than your alter ego (what this blogger calls his “inner fat slob”), you get the “W”.
The fun is keep track of your wins and losses. The diet does get progressively tougher as one moves from preseason to the regular season and then, with some luck, on to the post season.
